Workshops

Throughout the spring and summer of 2009 an exciting programme of workshops will run in the local school and community.  Former students will work with school pupils and community members to create new visual art and music, some of which will be featured in the final exhibitions and concerts.

Andi Neate will visit Ullapool High School to work with students on Shine, a song she has composed especially for the project.  She will also lead songwriting workshops both in the school and community.

James Graham will visit Lochinver, Stoer and Ullapool to teach Gaelic songs

Mairearad Green and Michael Bryan will work on songs and instrumental music in Achiltibuie and Ullapool, and will create new arrangements with UHS folk group Last Minute.

Rachel Hair will work with former UHS students in Glasgow and Ullapool to rehearse clarsach music for performance in October.

Barbara MacLeod will visit Lochinver and Ullapool to lead worshops in jewellery making.

Charlotte Watters will work on visual art projects in Badcaul and Scoraig schools.

Douglas Beck will work with primary and secondary pupils on Gaelic Drama

Suzy Lee will run weekend workshops in Ullapool on creating Artist Books. Click here for more details.
